WASHINGTON, D.C. — For working Nevadans like Teamster Andy, putting in a full day does not always make it easy to get ahead. The EDW Foundation is bringing that reality to the airwaves in “It’s Not Easy,” a television and digital ad campaign running across Nevada’s Third Congressional District, urging constituents to tell Rep. Susie Lee to keep fighting to lower costs, one of the Foundation’s legislative priorities.
The ad highlights Rep. Lee’s work to confront price gouging, protect affordable health coverage, and expand the housing supply. It features Lee’s efforts to reinstate enhanced Affordable Care Act premium tax credits, and her support for a public lands proposal intended to make more land available for housing in communities across Henderson, southwest Las Vegas, and southern Nevada.
That work includes support for H.R. 247, the Health Care Affordability Act of 2025, which would make the enhanced Affordable Care Act premium tax credits permanent and help prevent sharp premium increases for people who purchase coverage through the marketplace.
Rep. Lee also introduced H.R. 2134, the Southern Nevada Economic Development and Conservation Act, a locally developed public lands proposal intended to support economic development and housing while protecting public lands and conservation areas.
Lee also supported and voted for the Housing Oversight and Mitigating Exploitation (HOME) Act to target price-gouging behaviors by large institutional investors buying single-family homes which was signed into law as a part of 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act that was enacted into law earlier this summer.
Women feel rising costs from every direction. They see it at the grocery store, at the pharmacy, in a monthly premium, and in the rent or mortgage payment that takes a larger share of every paycheck. For women across southern Nevada, lowering costs is not a slogan; it is the difference between falling behind and having enough room in the budget to plan for what comes next.
“Nevada women are doing everything asked of them: working, caring for the people they love, and stretching every dollar, but too many still feel like the math does not work,” said former Rep. Annie Kuster, EDW Foundation Board Member. “Rep. Susie Lee is taking on the costs that make daily life harder, from health care to housing to price gouging. We are urging women across Nevada’s Third District to tell her to keep fighting.”

About the EDW Foundation
The EDW Foundation is a 501(c)(4) non-profit formed to strengthen the impact of women in federal policymaking by equipping them with the knowledge, resources, and support needed to shape effective national solutions. We empower women advocates to engage productively with their lawmakers, and we equip women legislators with the tools and insight to craft policies that address the real challenges families face. Our mission is to ensure women’s lived experiences inform decisions on issues such as health care, tax policy, energy and climate, technology and data governance, and financial regulation. We believe when women’s real-world experience guides policy, the solutions are more effective, more equitable, and better aligned with the needs of all American families.
